Hi, I‘m Truffles...my foster family calls me "Truffle-upagus"! I was really scared and very underweight when I first arrived, but I have blossomed into a happy little girl and have gained five pounds! My eyes are bright, and my coat is nice and soft.
I like to play with the other dogs here and especially like hanging out with Cuddles. I am a young girl, only a little over a year old; so some of the older dogs get tired of my playing sometimes.
I‘m very food motivated. I eat separately because I eat quickly and then go sniffing around everyone else‘s bowls - which doesn't go over well at all with the rest of the dogs. I now have a slow-eat bowl that has helped a lot. My foster parents can pet me and put their hands in my food while I‘m eating and that doesn‘t bother me. I take treats very nicely.
I don‘t chew on anything that isn‘t a dog toy and am housebroken. I learned pretty quickly how to use the dog door. I do not like the crate The vet freaks me out. I do not like going there at all, so my new family and their vet will need to work with me to get me comfortable with that. I also do not like the leash very much. My foster family is working with me on that.
I will often put my chin on your leg for some love and will stay there for as long as you pet me. I like to lay on my blanket near my foster family while they watch TV. Sometimes, I will climb into their lap and let them cradle me like a baby and rub my belly.
