Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there! My name is Archibald, but my friends just call me Archie. You can too! I am about 5 ½, and have had a rough go of it lately. I am more than ready to find my new forever home and my new forever family! Let me tell you, I love to take walks, but it takes FOREVER to get home because so many people stop to say hi, pet me, and tell me how cute I am! I have some doggy friends I love to play with, but it does take me a little while to warm up to new dogs. Once I get to know them I am fine!
I do get a little possessive with my toys and especially my food, and can get a little snarly if someone gets too close, so a home with small children would not be a good fit. I love my grown up humans though, and my favorite thing in the world is snuggling on the couch with them. I’m also pretty quiet at home, except when that monster called the vacuum cleaner comes out of the closet! I think some training classes might help me with either of those problems, don’t you?
When I was a puppy, I had seizures. It was very scary, but now I take some medication every day and I am fine! I also have just a touch of arthritis in my joints. That’s why I like snuggling on the couch so much! If you will help me to remember to take my medicines every day, I’ll have a normal life like every other Beagle!
I am good in the car, and good on a leash. I never try to run away- I like being a home Beagle! Even when I see something yummy like a rabbit or squirrel, I don’t lunge or pull after it much. I am not a runner! Best of all, I am completely house trained! You see, I’ve already put in all the hard work! I am ready to be your new best friend! Come on, send in that application! You know you want me!
