My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If Hollywood decides to make another Benji movie, Nibblet would be a shoe-in for the lead. And for good measure, he's the most loving guy who wants nothing more than to do a good job. At 2 - 2.5 years old and 31 lbs, Nibblet is a fuzzy and sweet ball of good- will who is the ultimate lover. He greets us with a shower of love and hugs...so overjoyed to say hello to the people who are kind to him. He would be overjoyed for each and every one of us to show our acceptance of him with a hug, a scratch behind the ears and maybe even a belly rub.
Nibblet's foster mom (who has fallen in love with this cutie-pie) has the following to say about this engaging guy:

NIBBLET- he’s absolutely one of my favorite gentlemen! He loves being touched in any way, shape or form...truly it's like he's in heaven! Nibblet is definitely a social pup who really thrives on being with people. On the other hand, if nobody is outside when he is in the yard, he is completely fine with being by himself. He's so content lounging in the sun and catching some zzz’s. We all wonder how he can possibly be so well-adjusted and so wonderful to just hang out with. I can see him loving Colorado! The mountains would be the perfect place to show his joy for life...hiking, snowshoeing and just having fun!
Nibblet has NEVER had an accident inside...he's such a respectful guy who knows that the house is a place to behave. Well almost.. we're working on his barking. He only does it when he gets excited and I understand he's just expressing joy. If this self-expression is not OK, I've used a citronella (humane) bark collar on a constant barker I fostered months ago and it was magical. He hated the small of the citronella (I kind of like it) and it went off under his chin whenever he barked. He tested it with several barks..it sprayed..and he stopped barking! Now, his adopters just hold the collar in their hand when Buddy gets riled.. and he reconsiders barking every time!
I've had the best time walking Nibblet around the neighborhood and on trails. He is absolutely amazing on a leash (someone had to have spent lots of time teaching him) and he's so loyal that I truly believe that he would walk to the ends of the earth with his person. What can I say...I've lost all objectivity on this dog! He's crept into my heart (and my husband's which is shocking). He would be a gift to any active family (or retirees). He loves everyone (except cats) of every age and is a joy to spend time with.

Nibblet is so smart and attentive that we feel he would shine at positive reinforcement group obedience class. His natural intelligence and desire to please would shoot him to the top of the class! We would like Nibblet to be placed in a home that has the ability and enthusiasm to spend lots of time with him....this can be a retired couple or individual or just someone who has a passion for adorable dogs. We have been told that Nibblet is a non-shedding (or lightly shedding - hard to tell until he gets a grooming to rid him of his matted shelter hair). Nibblet will require periodic bathing/brushing to keep his coat healthy and matt-free.
We would like Nibblet to be placed in a home that has the ability and enthusiasm to spend lots of time with him....this can be anyone who has a passion for adorable and very pleasant dogs.
Nibblet will be arriving on transport in Denver on Saturday 4/11/15. If interested in this very kind and sweet guy who is full of love and personality, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
