My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Will is a red and white male around 6 years old. He was found living outside at a rural Georgia library with a female companion. Through a series of good 'WILL' gestures, he ended up at DREAM. Will is a sweet, loving guy who loves to be with his human. He hasn't met an adult that he doesn't love. He gets along well with other dogs and although he has not been around cats, I am sure with his laid back attitude he will be just fine. He is house trained and crate trained, eats well and loves his treats. He follows his foster mom around like a shadow and is a GREAT help in the kitchen.
This happy fella is missing a few teeth and has a slight overbite but eats dry kibble and small crunchy treats without an issue.
If you are interested in adopting Will, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml. Will 's adoption fee is $350. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Will will go to his/her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
