My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Grace is: spayed, good with kids, good with dogs (all people in general), needs some work on house training, but she is almost there with more patience and praise.
Grace is a very sweet and an absolute beauty. She has a laid back personality, good with new people, loves to relax on the couch and be rubbed. Loves being outside and playing with other dogs too. She’s approximately 5 years old, weighs 14 lbs. Well behaved, comes when you call her! Super sweet girl that would be perfect for an equally laid back person who will give her lots of rubs.

If you are interested in adopting Grace, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml. Grace 's adoption fee is $400. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Grace will go to his/her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
