Grizz's Story...
Grizz is one of the siblings to Keira and he is still a bit shy when meeting new people. Grizz loves to play with the foster's other dogs as well as mixing it up with his sister Keira. Like Keira, Grizz is a mix of Shepard, Lab and Retriever, and loves to be a lap dog when you are sitting on the couch. He is still working on his leash training and he is doing well in his crate training with very few accidents overnight. He likes chasing the squeaky ball until his sister comes over and steals it from him. Grizz will require your time and effort to make him the perfect dog for you, so if interested, you can come by the stand on Saturday or fill out an online application at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Grizz, a Richmond Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
