My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Make A Difference in your Community - Adopt a Shelter Dog! Would you like to foster a Shelter Survivor? For more information, visit us at www.sheltersurvivors.com.

Mr. Parker is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet! He is a big boy, about 60 pounds, and was found running around Brooklyn looking for some fun. Some nice police officers invited him into their car and of course he couldn't turn them down. They brought him to the shelter for some much needed food and sleep. His foster mom saw a picture of him that the shelter posted and she thought he was adorable! His big fat head won her over and she immediately agreed to foster him in her home.

Mr. Parker does very well with the other three dogs in his foster home, but he may be too rough and rambunctious for smaller dogs. He would probably be OK with a female dog about the same size, or better yet, as your "one and only"! He loves going for walks, playing fetch with tennis balls, and getting attention. He is completely housebroken and can sit, shake, and give "high fives" with both paws! He is affectionate and cuddly, and although he he loves to romp in the yard, he also loves just falling asleep on his foster moms lap while she watches TV.

Mr. Parker is about 3 years old, up to date on all his shots, neutered, heart worm negative and micro-chipped. He loves kids and adults alike and is very well mannered. He is crate trained, but his foster mom gives him the run of the house while she is at work and he is perfectly behaved. He enjoys ice cubes as treats (or pretty much anything else, including carrots, shrimp with cocktail sauce, and bologna). If your family is looking for a new best friend, please fill out an application for him today!

Check the events page on our website for more information and directions to meet our dogs. To adopt Mr. Parker, fill out our online dog application, or download our Microsoft Word dog application and return it to sheltersurvivors@live.com. It will help expedite the process.
