Hello, my name is Gabby! And that's funny, because I'm a quiet girl. I don't say much. I am a shorthaired, spayed female, gorgeous black cat in need of a lifelong, loving home. I am 2-4 years old and I use a litterbox like a good girl. I get along well with other cats and like to watch the world out the window. I am sweet and kind, but I prefer to lounge next to you, rather than be picked up and carried around. I enjoy tummy rubs and being petted. I have a great motor and will purr loudly to tell you how much I enjoy the affection and attention. I am very friendly on my terms - more of an independent cat than an in-your-face lapcat. In human terms, I'm an introvert, but a great family pet. Adoption fee: $60 and includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay, microchip and 30 days of free pet insurance.

Adoption event dates for 2015: September 12, September 26, October 3, October 17, November 7, November 21, December 5 and December 19.
Sunday, September 27, 2015: Adoption Event at PetPeople, 6520 Telegraph Rd, Bloomfield Hills. From noon to 4 p.m. on the last Sunday of the month, come meet adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event).
Adoption event dates for 2015: September 27, October 25, November 29 and December 27.
Adoption and Foster Care Application
Adoption Process:Complete the application at
www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
