My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Devon, and I'm a perfect gentleman. I have impeccable manners, and know how to behave. The only time I make any noise is when someone comes to the door, or when the neighbor fluffs get my attention. However, I'm the last to the party whenever something fun happens at home. If I bark it's just enough to let everyone know I'm ready to join in. I weigh 11.5 pounds but I need to gain a few pounds. I was born approximately 2013.

I was picked up on the mean streets (of Chicago) by the police, so my foster mom has no idea how things used to be. I'm a tall guy, but I have the softest hair. I was very good at the groomers and tolerate brushing at home, but it's not my fav.

Cats are ok in my book, except that one crabby cat that lives with us now. I stay away from her--she thinks she's the boss, and I'll just let her think that. There aren't any small children around here, so I'm not sure if I like them or not. Because we do not know how Devon would do around children, children in the home need to be at least 10.

I have 2 bichon foster brothers and 1 bichon sister, as well as "cousins" that definitely aren't bichons. I get along with them all famously, but they sure do like to play hard. I'm a little worried about their "play" but it's sure fun to watch them. I'd rather just watch than get in the middle of their roughhousing.

In the mornings, they are crazy, and I'm more of a slow riser. I'm the last out of bed if one of the folks is there with me. I don't hog the bed, and sleep through the night. I learned to use a doggie door very quickly, so I can come and go as I need.

Devon needs another dog in the home or someone that is home much of the time.
