Hi Everybody!
I’m Dickens and I’m a five month old handsome Havanese puppy with salt and pepper hair, big black eyes and a happy smile. My ‘aunties’ at Bichon FurKids say my first name should be “Cute As and my middle name ‘The’ (Cute-As-The- Dickens.)
My foster Mom calls me “Super Glue” because I bonded with her in about two seconds. She says I am a happy, sweet love bug. And she is right. I love everyone I meet, love to ride in the car, go for long walks, take naps, sit on laps and hang out. You name it. I love it! Why I even like the little doggy that looks just like me! I see him in the mirror and try to get him to play. So far he’s not convinced but Mom thinks I’ll win him over. She says I’m adorable times ten!
I am almost house-trained, crate trained (Mom says I’m an angel in my crate!), very eager to please and fit in. I like other dogs – and I enjoy my doggy foster brother. And even though I am young I am very smart. Mom says that someone left a dollar bill in the house and I brought it to her very proudly with no teeth marks on it. She says that makes me a keeper!
I know a bunch of commands like Sit, Car Ride, Go Outside (I sit nicely and wait for my leash to be clipped on) and No. I’m learning Lie Down. And (drum roll please) I will sit and wait like a little gentleman for my treat.
Mom says I’m a good eater (but not a begger) sweet and mellow! I love to cuddle, am good with kids (and grand kids) and love being with a family. I would make a great “comfort” dog who could visit with the sick or elderly because I am very friendly and loving (and I know that everyone I meet is going to be my new friend.)
