If you're searching for the most devoted and loving best friend ever....Pebbles is the pup you want to have around! Pebbles, at just about 3 - 3.5 years old (such a perfect age..old enough to have left puppyish ways behind yet young enough to have many active years ahead) and 21 lbs (great size to hike the CO mountains and then be a lap dog at the end of the day) may initially be a bit hesitant but then before you know it... the most bonded and loving girl around. Pebbles enjoys her time with her foster mom so much that she joins her just about everywhere...a true best friend! Pebbles loves her people more than anything..she's a little lovebug and derives so much joy from her time spent with kind, dog-loving people. Pebbles also enjoys other dogs as long as they're very gentle and of a small size.
This incredibly adorable pup exudes love and loyalty...and it's catching! Pebbles's tough early life has left no visible scars on the personality of this devoted and sweet pup. Her bond to her people leads us to believe that Pebbles would be happiest in an active retiree's home. She would blossom with the time and attention that this type of family would offer. Pebbles is also so portable at 21 lbs that she is able to accompany her family just about anywhere...be it riding shotgun in the car or hanging out at the home of a dog-loving friend, Pebbles is ready and willing. She is a welcome guest in virtually every situation...when comfortable, her joy starts with her little wagging tail and works its way to the smile on her cuter-than-cute face. Watch out - before you know it, she's crept onto the couch and snuggled up to spend quality time together. Say the word walk ...or simply play together...and Pebbles is all over it. She'll be so happy to go off in anticipation of not only an adventure, but an interaction with loving humans and friendly dogs. Pebbles has an amazing attitude for a dog from a scary shelter... but it was her great temperament that saved this sweet pup's life.
Pebbles would be very happy in a home where she'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and tons of hugs. A beginning positive reinforcement obedience group class will create additional family bonding as well as promoting great behavior and confidence.
Pebbles, being a combination of two non-shedding breeds, would generally be excellent for those who suffer from allergies. Pebbles will therefore require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep her beautiful Poodle coat silky-soft and matt-free. If Pebbles doesn't get groomed in Texas prior to transport, Farfel's will be happy to cover the costs for her grooming at our Denver groomer.
