Rumpus's Story...
Rumpus is a about a year old and seven-pound Agouti-colored male rabbit. He was found hopping about outside in Oak Park by an animal lover who was able to easily handle him and brought him to Animal Care League. Rumpus does not have a shy bone in his body; he loves to be pet and loves to run around. He is just a fun and all around affectionate guy.

All the rabbits are extremely sweet and very handleable. Most of the rabbits are already litter box-trained so they can happily live in an indoor pen with a litter box as opposed to a cage.

If you’d like to read up on rabbits and their care, please check out: http://www.rabbit.org/

Their adoption fee of $50 each benefits the rescued pets of ACL. They are very healthy and already neutered/spayed and micro-chipped. To meet and possibly adopt them, please contact the Animal Care League at 708-848-8155 or e-mail adoption@animalcareleague.org
You can visit them in person at the Animal Care League shelter at 1011 Garfield, Oak Park, Illinois, Monday, Thursday & Friday from noon to 7:00 p.m. or Saturday & Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rumpus, a Chicago Cinnamon was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cinnamon for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Cinnamon from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cinnamon breeders who help with Cinnamon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
