Chelsea Mansfield's Story...
Chelsea is a 4 year old Schnauzer who came to us from a breeder who closed. She weighs about 16 pounds. Chelsea has never been kept inside and is shy by nature. She is friendly and learning quickly but we feel that because of being fearful, she should be in a calm home without small kids.

$175.00 adoption donation ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough) , microchipped and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites if needed. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as surgeries and dentals. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chelsea Mansfield, a Staunton Miniature Schnauzer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Schnauzer for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Miniature Schnauzer dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Schnauzer breeders who help with Miniature Schnauzer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
