Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Petey is a Take Me Home courtesy post. Petey is not affiliated with Take Me Home. He is not under our care. Take Me Home is not responsible for any adoptions through private parties. For more information on Petey or to meet Petey please contact Christie at chrystie.scott@gmail.com or Jack at Jackleslie2004@yahoo.com.
Meet Petey, a beautiful and friendly 15-month-old pit-mix. Poor Petey got off to a rough start in life, kept in a crate 24/7 outside, no matter what the weather. Finally, when it was freezing outside, a neighbor rescued Petey and has been looking after him ever since. Unfortunately, Petey's rescuer can't keep him and is looking for a forever home for him.
Because Petey was never socialized as a puppy, spending all his time in a crate, he still needs some training, but he is eager to learn and learns quickly. He walks well on a leash and knows some commands. Because he is still young, he does get excited, so he needs a home where he will get lots of exercise and training.
Petey LOVES people and he gets along with most dogs – although he is still learning how to act and play around other pups. It's a case-by-case basis with him.
Petey is neutered, chipped and has all his shots. All he needs now is a home that will give him all the love and attention that he's been yearning for.
