Calypso is a 2 year old male that is pretty mellow most of the time. He is a gentle soul and can be quite the shadow, wanting to know where "Mom" is at all times. He is a real sweetheart! He loves to be petted and loved on and is definitely a lap dog. He does enjoy a run in the yard and walks quite well on a leash. He is 13.9 lbs. and tall. He is good with children over 10, adults and other dogs. He is currently living with three other dogs. It is unknown how he reacts to cats as he was a stray and there are no cats at the foster home.
Some of his favorite things include squeaking toys and setting on the couch monitoring the outdoor activity. Calypso is always ready for a snuggle session and will share a lap with his foster siblings. He has had occasionally accidents, probably related to being a stray, going through transition, and being a young boy. He does go to the door but you must pay attention to him as he doesn't make much noise.
Calypso would make a great addition to any family. He is not destructive or aggressive. He enjoys time with his foster family but is eager to be in a permanent home where someone will cuddle and love him for the rest of his life.
He has been neutered, is Heartworm negative, vaccinated and treated with flea preventative. Calypso will need another dog in the home with him or someone that is home most of the time. Children need to be at least 10 years old.
Calypso is being fostered in MI
