My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOSTER LOCATION: Meridian, ID

SWEET! That is the best word to describe this beautiful girl! Keri is a long, tall & gorgeous black lab mix who is 10 years young...and doesn't act her age. Keri is one of those dogs that we can’t believe ended up homeless; sadly she did but Fuzzy Pawz Rescue was thrilled to take her into their foster program.

Keri is affectionate with her foster family and loves her 9 year old human brother. She loves a good belly rub and will give you a paw if you stop petting her-asking for more lovin'. Keri gets along great with the other 2 dogs in the house...seamlessly falling into step with her foster homes daily routine from day one.

She loves toys and runs like crazy for her tennis ball (just not always back to be thrown again!) She will need some tough toys as she likes to seek and destroy the squeaker in plush toys!

Keri has some manners in place already and takes treats gently. She is house-trained and will sit, shake, stay and takes treats gently. Keri gets excited by 4 things...grabbing a leash (YAY walk time) ...car keys (YAY car ride!) ... toys (YAY toys!) ... and FOOD (YAY food!) This comes in handy with training as she is food/toy motivated. She is not crate trained, but would do very well if given a treat (maybe a Kong filled with peanut butter). She would do best in a crate when left home alone so she doesn't get bored and chew on things she shouldn't. Keri loves to go for walks, but it's that love of adventure that gets her in trouble. She likes to pull on leash, so will need a bit of training to break her of that habit.

Keri is simply looking for a loving family who will take her with them wherever they go-not leave her for hours alone at home. She loves to be outside, exploring & playing in the yard or just laying in the sun with her toys spread out around her.

Keri is spayed and microchipped, and fully vaccinated

If you think you have what it takes to give Keri the fun and adventure she’s looking for please fill out an adoption application: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/

There is a $40 adoption fee for Keri
