My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here's Cubby! This senior gentleman is looking for a special home that will love him. He is an odd and very lovable dog! He's 13 years old and came to us after his owner fell ill and could no longer care for him. At first glance, he is an older gentleman but then he gets into these brief and sudden moves where he jumps up like a senior kangaroo.

Cubby is under 20 lbs. and the perfect dog for an older person or couple looking for an easy companion. He is so easy and gentle, and after a full mouth dental we hope to see his real personality come out once his mouth feels cleaner. He is blind in one eye, does not navigate flights of stairs very well, has reasonable hearing and is a shedding type dog. He will be perfect for someone looking for a low key companion.

Check out his Facebook page for additional photos and video of Cubby!

If you are interested in finding out more about Cubby, please fill out an application. Cubby is being fostered in Worcester.

The adoption fee is $50.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
