My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone, my name is Cricket. My story is kind of a sad one, but I hope you will like me anyway. My original family moved away and couldn’t take me with them. That made me sad and a little scared. I went to live with another family, but they had a dog (that made me a lot scared!) and another cat who intimidated me. I wanted to fit in, but I was just too nervous, so I hid a lot and didn’t want to come out (even to use my litter box). Of course that didn’t make my new family very happy and I felt like a failure. To make everything worse, I didn’t feel very well – my mouth and my tummy hurt.

My new family took me to Helping PAWS to find out what was wrong with me and they finally decided that I would be happier in a new home where I didn’t have to hide. The nice people here helped me with my sore mouth and tummy and I feel so much better now. My fur is softer and shinier, and my loving nature is starting to shine through.

All I need now is a quiet forever home where I won’t have to hide and be afraid. No big scary dogs please, although I do like gentle dogs and friendly, non-aggressive cats. If you think everyone deserves a second chance, maybe you can come to Helping PAWS and meet me. If you will be gentle and patient with me, I promise I will love you forever.
