My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Star is a very sweet and loveable 6 year old Bichon mix. She weighs about 20 pounds. She was an owner surrender because she had bladder stones and needed surgery. At the time she was in a lot of pain. She also was in desperate need of a dental. She only had 18 teeth in the mouth and they found all of those either falling out or severely infected. They had to pull all of them. But that doesn't stop her from enjoying her meals of soft food and she loves her little treat. When she is resting, you may see her tongue, and she's very cute to watch.
Since her surgery, she is playful, loves to throw her toys and fetch them and gets engaged and plays with her fursiblings; 3 bichons and a cat. She is very interested in the cat but he's old and ignores her!. Star needs another dog in the home or someone that is home much of the time.
Star loves to walk on a leash, run and play in the yard and knows commands of "come, sit, go lay down, and no." She does all of "her business" outside and she'll let you know that she needs to go out!
Star would be a welcome addition to any family as she just wants to be loved and cuddled. Star really is a bright shining light. Children in the home need to be at least 10. Star is being fostered in IL
