Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The results are in. We did a DNA test on Buster and the three most prevalent breeds in his ancestry are Great Pyrenees, Chow and Golden Retriever with one side being all Great Pyrenees. Buster came to us as an unclaimed stray from a central Illinois animal control and the vet there estimated his age at 11 months then which would make him about 18 months old now. He currently is slender 76 pounds and needs a few more pounds. He is a big pup for sure and needs training but this is a smart, very responsive boy with lots of potential. We will be looking for a big dog experienced adopter with commitment to obedience training and socialization. Buster has lots of energy and will need plenty of exercise. A securely fenced yard will be required.
Please visit our web site at www.gprci.com for adoption information. Our adoption application can be completed on line or downloaded. A securely fenced yard is required for adoption of our rescues with very few exceptions. Great Pyrenees Rescue of Central Illinois is a 501 (c) (3) not for profit and is licensed by the State of Illinois.
Donations are always greatly appreciated and are used for the vet care, food and housing of the dogs in our rescue/sanctuary. Donations can be made at our website at www.gprci.com. via Paypal or donations can be mailed to: GPRCI, 15523 Old Colonial Rd Bloomington, IL 61705. Formal receipts for tax purposes are issued. Thank you for your support of rescue.
