Teddy's Story...
Posted 6/1/15. Teddy is an adorable, very handsome (he will be groomed tomorrow and will look better than in the current picture... :) and super friendly wire hair dachshund boy that came to The Nest because his owner became very ill and had to go to the nursing home. Teddy is about 6 years old and he weighs about 13 lbs. he is very friendly and gets along great with other dogs. He is very mellow and just loves to be with his person. He loves going for walks and he loves cuddling on the couch. He is just a love to have around. For Teddy we are looking for a quiet home, fenced in yard would be nice but not a requirement. Socks is neutered, he is current on vaccinations including Rabies, and he tested negative for heartworm.
If you are interested in this lovely pup please fill out an adoption application on our web site: http://www.inthenest.net/applications/adoption-application
Teddy's adoption fee is $275. No children under 10 please.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy, a Bloomington Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Bloomington, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Bloomington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bloomington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bloomington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bloomington paves the way for another one to be saved.
