Dee's Story...
Dee is a gorgeous and SWEET 5 year-old Shepherd mix. With her personality and good looks, it's hard to imagine that she has been in a shelter environment for several months! Since being transferred to our facility, we have seen her personality blossom. Dee is a very playful girl that likes to be kept busy! She is very curious, smart and loving. Dee likes belly rubs and getting her back scratched. She would do great with an active family that would be willing to take her on walks and spend time working her mind and body. Dee is housetrained, crate trained and loves chew toys! She gets along great with other dogs, but is more of a dominant personality so she will need a willing canine friend. She will need a home without young children, though she does well with older ones. Dee is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Come and meet her today at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook. We are open daily from 12-6pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dee, a Benbrook Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
