Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Anya is an 18 month old Central Asian Shepherd. She weighs 95 pounds and may get a little bit bigger. Anya is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccinations and monthly heartworm prevention.
The CAS is a livestock guardian, similar in temperament to a Great Pyrenees or Anatolian Shepherd. They are wonderful and devoted family companions and protectors. They do tend to bark more than some other breeds and require a fenced yard. It is an active breed that requires plenty of exercise and continued training and socialization.
Anya has been in foster care for a little over a month. She is crate and potty trained. Currently, her foster mom crates her when not supervised as she can still get up to some puppy hijinks when left to her own devices!
Anya lives with other big dogs and is a very eager wrestling companion, but she is not a good match for small dogs or cats. She can be shy of men at first, but warms up quickly and she loves children of all ages. Anya has started basic obedience lessons and her foster mom will gladly work with her adopter to continue her training and socialization.
