Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ria is quite a character. She sees no reason why she shouldn't be the center of attention at all times! She is a youngster and it shows. She's up for any and all activities you might have planned. As you can imagine, she is not a fan of being crated, and she will tell you about it. She enjoys rawhide bones and stuffed toys.
Ria did well in cat testing, but has never lived with a cat. Use a muzzle initially, and closely monitor all interactions. When unable to monitor the interaction, some form of physical barrier should be used, i.e. crating.
Ria interacted well with the other greyhounds. Ria responded well when meeting Jack Russell Terriers, but caution should always be exercised, especially outdoors.
Foster Home Update: (6/8/15) Ria is a very snuggly and kissy little girl. She's also a little scamp! If I had room and had a cat (Ria is reserved for a cat-owning home) I'd adopt her in a hot second. Ria loves to fling her toys. She also likes to counter-surf, but we're working on that. She's a quick learner; she got the dog door down right away and has never had an accident in the house. She is very affectionate and endearing. You couldn't go wrong with this tiny girl.
A fenced yard is required to adopt Ria
Our policy is to reserve the cat-trainable dogs for those homes that truly require them. If you have no small animals, you will need to adopt a dog that is not deemed small animal trainable.
