My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kiah

Welcome Kiah!

Kiah is a wonderful, older girl, who loves to sleep on soft dog beds, loves peanut butter bones, and will cuddle with you on the couch. Do you need someone to follow you all around? Kiah is your girl! She doesn't mind keeping you company anywhere you need to go. She loves going for car rides and will let you know she wants to go with you.

Kiah is about 9 to 10 years old. The nice part of a dog Kiah's age is that she is gentle and a faithful companion. She gets along very well with other dogs and does not require a lot of exercise and activity.

As you can see, Kiah is a bit "full figured". When she came to us she was a plump girl! With smaller servings of good food and some plain green beans mixed in for crunch, she is regaining her trim figure. Walking has also been good for Kiah, but we do have to watch the heat, now that it is summer. If you do take Kiah for a walk, it is best to go early in the morning or as the sun is going down. You have to be careful that the street isn't too warm for her (or any dog's) feet!

While Kiah may be a little older, don't let her fool you. She still has plenty of "get up and go" when you are ready! She loves rolling on her back in the grass in the sun. It's one of her favorite things to do.

While Kiah LOVES her crate, she can be trusted to be left out of the crate. You still have to put things away, but she doesn't have accidents or chew up things she shouldn't. It's always nice to be greeted at the door with a smile & a Lab kiss when you come home from a long day at work, too!

Anyone interested in adopting Kiah will have to give her a little bit of time. She gets really excited and "talks" and hops around when she is in a new environment. She does settle down and relax once she has gotten used to her surroundings.

Come see Kiah and see if she'd be a great companion for you!
