Rocky's Story...
Rocky is a 4.5 year old male Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix (about 25 pounds) who came into rescue as an owner surrender. He does well with other dogs, has lived with a cat, loves people, enjoys his Nyla Bones and a good game of tug of war, and especially loves people's laps - he has a very fun personality and is the life of the party! Rocky is house trained & crate trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. At the end of last year Rocky started having seizures, but he is now on daily (very affordable) medication for them and has been very doing well. If you are interested in adopting Rocky, please complete an adoption application from www.ruffstarthappytails.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Wethersfield Boston Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Wethersfield, or seeking a Boston Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Wethersfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wethersfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wethersfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Boston Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wethersfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
