Cotton's Story...

Cotton is an adorable puppy who was discarded at the shelter by his former owners. He unfortunately was turned in very sick and tested PARVO positive. Thankfully, Lovebugs Rescue has saved many PARVO dogs and was able to admit him into 24 hr supportive care just moments after he was dropped off at the shelter. Cotton has made a full recovery and we expect him to live out a full life, just as any other normal puppy would. He is a little on the shy side, but warms up quickly and will continue to do so as he gets more and more socialized. If you have other adult dogs in the home, they should be current on their DHP vaccine prior to adoption a PARVO exposed dog.

Cotton is 6 months old and weighs just 4 lbs. Cotton's adoption fee is $300, it includes his neuter, registered microchip, first dhp vaccine, and deworming.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cotton, a Irvine Maltese/Pomeranian puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Pomeranian for sale in Irvine, or seeking a Maltese/Pomeranian puppy from a breeder in Irvine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Irvine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Irvine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Pomeranian breeders who help with Maltese/Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Irvine paves the way for another one to be saved.
