Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Woof! My name is Bubba and I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I am an 8 year old, yellow, handsome boy with a very trim weight of about 68 lbs. SCLRR came into my life and immediately took very good care of me. They took me to a doctor and fixed a few boo- boos they found on me when they rescued me from the shelter and now I am a very happy, healthy young man again.
I live with my foster family and they are all very proud of the way I behave in the house, on a leash, in a car and when I meet other animals. I have tried to explain to them that I have had plenty of training in my day, and now, I think they believe me. Not once does anyone in the house have to get upset with me. I am a wonderful, patient soul with a mild temperament.
And, I don’t mean to brag, but I am a Lab and that means I will be loyal to my family forever. I always stay near my foster mom, in case she needs me. I check all the beds at bedtime, to make sure all are safe. And, I am a great house sitter, in case they have to leave me home alone. They even leave me alone in the house, because they trust me and know I won’t do any harm to anything.
Hmmm….any flaws? That’s tough. I guess I should mention that I am not a dog that plays with toys. I have never really enjoyed that ball chasing stuff. I will go get the ball once, if you throw it, but you will have to get it the next time. Oh, and I am very hard of hearing. My foster mom and I communicate wonderfully!! She always uses her hands to tell me what to do, and we never have any problems. See!! I know sign language! Did I mention that I was smart?
Well, life is great here at the foster home, but I do admit that it would be so satisfying if I had a permanent family of my own. I love all people, all sizes, and I think I could live with a cat, if they had one. Please let your family rep know so we can kick off a great future together.
