Iris or as her foster home calls her Cora is a GREAT DOG! It is amazing we still have her in rescue and people are knocking down the doors. Talk about a great dog. She is loving, house trained, doesn't mind be crated but can also be left out of the crate with no issue. She walks great on a leash, is fine with other dogs, cats and kids. She isn't a big barker, she isn't a runner, she is well dare we say it pretty close to perfect.
Why in the world some treated her so badly the first few years of her life and then dumped her at the shelter with her puppies like trash is beyond me. Why another rescue took all of her puppies and left her at the shelter on the kill list (the list of dogs to be euthanized because the shelter is out of space) just makes us FURIOUS!
Cora is a wonderful dog and any family would be lucky to have her. As you will notice in her pictures Cora is "missing" an eye. The eye is actually still there but due to a trauma as a puppy it never developed. She can't see out of it but the eye ball it's self is still in the socket. The vet said we could have the eye removed but it would only be for cosmetic reasons and we didn't want to put her through an unnecessary surgery when we believe she is beautiful just the way she is!
