Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Astro! This playful little guy has an adventurous personality and bright spirit that will immediately win your heart. Astro was picked up as a stray roaming the streets and brought to the shelter. Even though he had a collar, indicating that someone cared about him at some point, Astro's family never came to claim him as their own. Despite his wonderful personality, this guy spent months at the shelter waiting for his future family to come along. When that didn't happen for him, a kind foster volunteer decided to take him home and help him out! Now that he is in a home, Astro's true personality has been able to shine. After a day of chasing lizards, chewing on Mr. Chicken (his favorite toy!), and eating Astro loves to curl up in your lap for some belly rubs and TV watching. Also indicative of a previous family, this guy picked up on his house- and kennel-training quickly, so if you want a pup with built in house manners, Astro is your man!
At around 1-2 years, Astro weighs in around 35lbs, making him the perfect size for just about any active household. He has the energy to keep up with older kids (just big enough so that he can't knock them over with his hugs!) or to be a playmate for another pup, but also loves to settle down and get belly rubs. So whether you are looking for someone that can take a stroll around the neighborhood with you or binge watch Netflix, this guy is there for you! All Astro wants is a family to finally call his own. Won't you be that family?
Dogs in our program are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and given a physical examination by a veterinarian prior to adoption.
Astro is currently in foster care so, if interested, please email us today!
