Shadow's Story...
Shadow would love to become a part of a caring family for his golden years. This sweet Lab mix is about 8-9 years young, with lots of love and life to give to a special home. Rescued in Mexico by our sister group, he has now made his way to foster care in Nanaimo BC. A very calm guy, he gets along well with most other dogs, especially submissive ones. He does tend to get a bit grumpy with felines. Shadow weighs 48.5 pounds, is neutered, dewormed, and fully vaccinated. If you would like to adopt Shadow, please email us at info.pvca@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Nanaimo Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Nanaimo, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Nanaimo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nanaimo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nanaimo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nanaimo paves the way for another one to be saved.
