Tommy's Story...
Tommy is a big boy with an even bigger heart! Tommy was surrendered by his owners because they could no longer care for him and is estimated to be about 2 years old. He is full grown and weighs around 70 pounds right now, so he is fairly strong. He would like a confident owner that is able to handle his size. In his previous home, it was noted that Tommy can be destructive when left alone so he would really appreciate lots of enrichment or to be crate trained so he can remain safe and sound when at home by himself. Tommy enjoys other dogs but can be a little much for some, so he should meet any resident dogs before going home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tommy, a Toledo Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Toledo, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Toledo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toledo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toledo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toledo paves the way for another one to be saved.
