I’m Asher Bear. I am an adorable, blue point Tonkinese Mix. I’m still a little guy with very big--very light ice blue eyes. In fact, I always seem to have that deer in the headlight look. Well, unless my foster Mom is petting me; then it’s more smug.
Asher means happy, and when I first came here, I was not happy at all. I was so very scared. I don’t remember much before I got here, but I know it’s a big bad world out there! I had fleas so bad I had really painful sores...and you humans... well, I did not trust you! My foster Mom shaved my neck so she could care for the sores. I am finally getting my hair back…how embarrassing. My foster Mom has been very patient with me…now I know you humans aren’t so bad at all. In fact, you will take care of me and you can actually be a lot of fun! I discovered I really like to have fun!
I typically want to watch and get the lay of the land before I run in. Don’t let that fool you though, ‘cause I can play with the best of them. I love to chase my tail or whoever’s tail is handy! I wrestle with my roommate Sparkie. I may be smaller than he is, but I can hold my own. I adore dangly feathers and da Mouse! I pretty much like playing with anything that moves! Okay, it doesn’t even have to move…I have been seen pouncing on nothing and having just a grand old time!
I like to snuggle, too, and I found my purr! Rub my tummy, my ears…mmmm I will cuddle right up. Gives me that warm fuzzy feeling...you know what I mean? There is nothing like being held and cuddled but you have to earn my trust first. Once you do…I will be your little shadow!
Asher would like company and an easy, laid-back kitty or another kitten about his age would be best. He will thrive with attention and would do best in a quieter home with older children.
Asher will come to you neutered, tested, microchipped and vaccinated. He is litter box perfect. He will be ready to go home on or after July 18th.
He is fostered in Reno, NV.
