Browny's Story...
Browny- very active, enjoys roaming around and checking out his surroundings. File#25054

This bunch of adorable creatures came to us recently when a family came in to "donate" their pets to us. It seems they had more than they could handle and could no longer care for them. In addition to Ralph the gerbil, we also have these six adorable guinea pigs that would all love to have a fresh start in life. Pumpkin, Minty, Chestnut, Browny, Snoopy, and Oreo are all 6 month old males, and are all very friendly and used to being handled. They are all a bit shy since coming in but once they get to know you, they warm right up to you and welcome attention. They have not been socialized much with each other so we are working on helping them to get to know each other.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Browny, a Forked River Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
