When they say that the best things come in small packages, it’s true! Our little Gracie was found along with another dog in a very small box in a parking lot. And the word "best" definitely is the correct adjective to describe this small 10 pound bundle of joy. Her life story may be a mystery but we are guessing she must have been well treated at some time because she trusts people and other small dogs. Our approximately 5 year old girl is leash trained, loves long daily walks and toys, can do steps, and rides well in the car. Gracie has the spunk and energy of a puppy but she is also sweet and cuddly during her quiet time.
Gracie thrives on human contact and would do best in house where a family member is at home throughout the day. She seeks the closeness of her foster Shih Tzu siblings and would be a perfect addition to a family who already has one small dog. She learns quickly and already responds to basic commands. Her potty training is still a work in progress, but she is successful about 85%. Her new family must be committed to helping her become fully trained by keeping to a regular schedule and being patient and encouraging her as she learns.
Gracie is healthy, has been spayed, had a dental, is microchipped and on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Her adoption fee is $270.00 plus $19.64 sales tax for a total of $289.64. Her foster parents would like her adopters to live within a reasonable driving distance of the Twin Cities and would like them to also commit to attending the Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion held every year.
