My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It's hard to imagine this truly beautiful (inside & out) Schnauzer/Cairn Terrier mix in a high-kill shelter in Houston. A compassionate Farfel's rescuer saved Robby's life and nursed his body and spirit back to joy and well-being. It's now getting to the time when Robby is ready to be transported to his new life in Colorado. Although it will be terribly hard for Robby's Texas foster mom to say goodbye...she knows that he will have a great life.

The following is a description of Robby by his foster mom:
Robby is such a sweet guy just waiting to blossom. I've enjoyed watching him learn that the world can be a loving and positive place. Robby had a hard start - but now he's learning about treats, belly rubs and that he's a very valuable pup! He may very well be initially shy or frightened, but just give him a bit of time and you'll have a new best friend.

Robby loves to run and play outside...he has just the appropriate amount of energy for a 2 - 2.5 year old, 13.4 lb healthy pup. He would do so well with a family who is home alot to hike and play with and run freely at the park - he would love that! After he's had exercise and stimulation, Robby is ready to chill on the couch. he loves to snuggle, be petted and has been said to not get overly grumpy about grooming..we'll let you know since he desperately needs a spa day. His potentially gorgeous, non-shedding hair will require care...a periodic grooming and great nutrition with salmon oil would be perfect to keep his coat as beautiful as it can be.
Robby appears to be fine with other dogs but appreciates those that are gentle and respectful of his smaller size. He has been great with my 12 and 15 year old daughters and me!! I haven't seen him around very young kids, so that's an unknown. He's excellent with my mom, but might be a bit energetic for a very advanced senior.
I can say for certain that Robby will make a very lovable and fun-loving best friend. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt him is truly getting a gem!

Robby is a truly smart pup - true to his breeds!! What a gem of a best friend for a family who wants to include a very cute and sweet dog in their life. He has the potential to be a truly exceptional and loyal companion. Farfel's is very excited to participate in finding this special Schnauzer/Cairn Terrier his forever family.

Robby will be arriving on transport in Boulder on 7/24/2015. If interested in this sweet guy who is full of love and personality, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
