Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello Everyone,
My name is Lovable Lani – and you probably remember me from Facebook. I’m a calm, sweet, grateful and affectionate Bichon girl of a certain age, (about 10 or 11 years young, that is.) who was brought to the shelter by my family – and then left there. I knew that wasn’t the place for me so I howled and howled – and got the attention of lots of good people who knew I needed to ‘get out of Dodge’ (I mean the shelter!)
My Aunties took me to the wonderful vet who started me on some medication to help with my thyroid. I’m glad that I have that as it definitely helps. I also favor one of my back legs, as it was injured and not attended to with my previous owners. He said there’s nothing I need to do and that I’ve learned to live with it. I’m also blind however I’m not a girl who complains! I just keep on keepin’ on – in a very appreciative way.
My foster Mom says that I have all the charms of a Bichon- and that many bichons are more demanding than I am! I, on the other hand, am amazingly sweet and very appreciative. Give me some cuddle time, short walks and love- plus my naps. And, in return for all those good things, I am the most loving and trusting of companions.
Mom says I’m naturally sweet natured, friendly and happy – and grateful for love and attention. I also am playful in my own way. I have this little ball that I like to play with. I hold it in my mouth and roll it around – and am very happy to have it for ‘company.’
I guess you could say I’m a ‘bit’ of a couch potato as I can’t engage in strenuous activity like long walks. I am perfectly happy just going out for a few minutes to do what I need to do, and coming happily into the house. I’m also happy to be wherever you are and appreciative of everything I have.
Mom hopes that you will appreciate my qualities as much as they do, as I so deserve to be a very special companion to a very special person. If that sounds like you please ask for me ‘cause I’ll be waiting.
Kisses and cuddles,
Lovable Lani
