My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pickles is a 4 year old purebred Dachshund that was surrendered to our rescue through no fault of his own. Such a happy gentleman, loves to be outside and roll in the grass. Very healthy, friendly and the perfect size at 15 lbs

A Dachshunds life span is 14-17 years, so Pickles is still a young man with lots of love to give.

He is neutered, UTD on shots including bordetella, on flea/tick prevention along with heart worm prevention. The only thing Pickles needs is a person to love him.

If you are interested in giving Pickles a wonderful home, go to our Facebook page and download the application from the "Notes" section. While you are there, please "Like" our page to see our new available dogs and keep up with upcoming events.

You can also email us at merceranimalrescue@gmail.com and we will email an application to you. Feel free to call Beverly at 901-651-6322 or Angela at 203-909-8861 with questions.

Our adoption application can also be found on our web site www.merceranimalrescue.org

Pickle's adoption donation is $495 which helps to cover the neutering, shots, bordetella (kennel cough), vet examination, heart worm prevention, flea / tick prevention, certificate of health and transport fee.

Pickles lives with a foster family in Memphis, TN. He will travel to his new family once he has been adopted. We use a weekly transport to the northeast and a twice monthly transport to the Chicago / Milwaukee / Minneapolis areas.

Our primary source of funding comes from this adoption fee. This fee allows us to rescue other dogs in danger of being put to sleep, injured or sick dogs and dogs that have never known the comfort of a home.

Thank you for considering one of our rescue dogs.
