Frankie's Story...
Frankie is 20 pounds of love in a 9 pound package. He loves to snuggle as far into your lap as he can possibly get, and with those big brown eyes and that happy tail, you won't want him any farther away. He likes to make new human and canine friends, but he may be a bit wary at first when meeting bigger creatures, after all he is a just a lil' guy! After just one or two introductions though it's like he's found his best friend all over again. With that sweet face and those adoring eyes he'll make his way into your heart in no time at all! Frankie is microchipped, neutered, and updated on all of his shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frankie, a Truckee Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Truckee, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Truckee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Truckee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Truckee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Truckee paves the way for another one to be saved.
