Kona's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Kona's Story...

You’ll never know how much room you have on your couch (or in your heart) until you bring this lady into your life.  Though she’s bouncy when you walk into the room, it’s just because she’s trying to decide which cheek to give you kisses on first.  She knows how to be gentle, how to play appropriately with dogs, cats and kids, and also how to make you fall head over heels for her.  That part is easy….just lean in and stare adoringly with those big brown eyes, let the pink tongue loll out just a bit, and make sure that the minky-soft ears are right under the humans fingers  for prime petting opportunities.

Kona was turned in by a family that just didn’t have enough time to give her.  But now that she is here she is loving the attention she is getting and only wants more, but from people she can call her own.  She is looking for someone to be the focus of her gaze, the object of her affection, her moon, her stars, the wind beneath her ears.

Kona is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated.  Her adoption fee is $75, but the joy you get from her facial expressions is immeasurable.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kona, a Truckee Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff for sale in Truckee, or seeking a Mastiff dog from a breeder in Truckee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Truckee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Truckee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff breeders who help with Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Truckee paves the way for another one to be saved.
