Ransom's Story...
This is Ransom
This kitty with movie star good looks came to BHS with the name Ransom, but we can’t seem to call him anything but Handsome Ransom. He is even more handsome in purr-son than his photos show. Born about Oct, 2014, Ransom is very outgoing & affectionate. He is playful, but really prefers petting over toys. He seems friendly to other cats & is not afraid of dogs. He is a larger cat & may be a bit too much for small dogs. This smart, gorgeous boy would add joy to any home. He is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped & tested for FeLeuk/FIV. To meet handsome Ransom, call 540/586-6100, or submit an adoption application: www.bhsva.org/adoptions-home.htm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ransom, a Bedford Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Bedford, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Bedford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bedford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bedford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bedford paves the way for another one to be saved.
