My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Shelly and I’m a young female Lab-Hound mix who would make a loyal family pet and a great dog to enjoy outdoor activities with. Sadly, my previous owner is moving to a place that doesn’t allow dogs and plans for his nephew to take me didn’t work out, so I was surrendered and desperately need a new home. I’m about a year old, very sweet and love to play with everyone who comes to help out at the shelter, including children. I know the “sit” command and am learning to walk on leash along with other commands to make me a well-mannered pet. I’d need a pretty high fence if you choose to keep me outside, where my instinct to hunt would help rid your yard of varmints like possums or raccoons. But I’d also be perfectly happy to be an inside couch potato as long as you give me plenty of exercise. I’m healthy, up to date on all shots, and soon will be spayed.
