Lex's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Lex's Story...
Lex is a gentle, endearing sweet and friendly, eight-month-old, 39-pound, female black and white border collie looking for a loving guardian. Lex adores people and gets along just fine with most other dogs.

Lex doesn’t appear to know any formal commands yet. But, she walks beautifully on leash and jumps right in the car for a ride! She’d love a home with a yard to run and play in.

Lex is very healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines and on heartworm preventative. Her adoption fee of $325 benefits rescued dogs. To meet and possibly adopt Lex please contact Sheri@petraits.com or 773-777-2891. She is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lex, a Chicago Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
