Oboe (Neutered)'s Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Oboe (Neutered)'s Story...
"Oboe" is a handsome 8-year old male Chocolate Labrador Retriever mix who was surrendered by his owner on February 9, 2015. This big boy has a chocolate brown short smooth coat with white highlights on his chest, a long tail, and a noble-looking face with semi-erect ears. "Oboe" usually gets along ok with other dogs, but he does NOT like cats. He is ok with older children. His previous owner provided detailed two-page document about Oboe (which includes hand/voice commands that he recognizes, vocabulary words that he knows, and some of his fears... windshield wipers, beeping sounds, etc) We'd highly suggest that potential adopters take the time to read through the document since it really explains a lot about Oboe's background and experiences. "Oboe" weighs approximately 70 lbs. He has already been neutered. We would also recommend that he be placed in a home with an experienced handler (and would have no contact with cats). He really is a great dog for the right home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oboe (Neutered), a Marietta Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
