My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Vick is a twelve week old german shepherd puppy mix. He is too cute for words. His coloring is such a true representation of the breed. Vick weighs 15 - 20 lbs, very friendly and very handsome. He runs and plays then just sacks out and takes a nap, then starts all over again. Vick is lovable and just a fun little boy. Those EYES just grab you! Vick is working on his potty training skills in his foster home.

If you are interested in giving Vick a wonderful home, go to our Facebook page and download the application from the "Notes" section. While you are there, please "Like" our page to see our new available dogs and keep up with upcoming events.

Or email us at merceranimalrescue@gmail.com and we will email an application to you. Feel free to call Beverly with questions about the dogs at 901-651-6322 or Angela with questions about our adoption process at 203-909-8861.

Vick's adoption donation is $495 which helps to cover the neutering, shots, flea/tick prevention, heart worm prevention, vet examination, certificate of health and transport fee.

Vick was rescued from a shelter in Arkansas. He is living with a foster family just outside of Memphis, TN. Vick will travel to his new family by professional pet transport once he has been adopted. We use a weekly transport to the northeast and a twice monthly transport to the Chicago / Milwaukee areas.

Our primary source of funding comes from this adoption donation. This donation allows us to rescue other dogs in danger of being put to sleep, injured or sick dogs and dogs that have never known the comfort of a home.
