Alfie – Playful Little Snugglebug
It is all fun time and cuddles for this copper cutie. As far as Alfie is concerned there are only two things in life -- play time and cuddle time and he excels at both. This 9 month old cutie is a happy-go-lucky little pup who has never met a stranger. As far as Alfie is concerned everyone is here to either pet him or play with him. It is not unusual to see him running by with a toy or a slipper in his mouth trying to get you to chase him. If you don’t want to play—that is ok with him. He will jump up on the sofa next to you and roll over on his back for a belly rub.
Now you might have noticed I commented on Alfie’s playfulness and I mentioned something about a slipper. It is important to keep in mind that Alfie is just a baby and he is still learning proper manners. This is kind of hard for him because he loves , loves, loves shoes and slippers. So far he has not eaten any of my shoes—but he does tend to carry them around the house. I wouldn’t put it past him to taste one—I just haven’t given him a chance. He is a smart little pup, who will do well with a little bit of training.
Alfie is not completely housetrained but he is making great progress in his foster home.
If you are looking for a wonderful, entertaining companion you cannot do any better than Alfie.
Anyone interested in our dogs must be over 21. We are only able to adopt to homes within a reasonable driving distance of the dog's foster home and please be prepared for a home visit by one of our volunteers. We do not adopt on first-come-first-served basis, we want to make sure the dog is right for the family and vice versa based on what we know about the dog's personality, habits and behaviors.
