My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello Everyone - I'm Sheba! And I'm large as life tipping the scales at around 115 lbs. It's not that I'm fat - I'm just a big girl. I also have lots of love to give. I was a stray and ended up in the local shelter. They asked Moonsong to take me and find my special "happily ever after" home. I could sure use a foster home while I'm waiting for my "furever" home. Are you interested? Right now I'm at a very nice boarding kennel.

I can speak, whisper, sing, shake with both hands, sit, lay down, and have a great recall (mostly - I am a Mal afterall). I could stand to learn more from a good positive reinforcement obedience class. I am very treat motivated, so I should graduate with flying colors. I'm also rather protective of food, so I'll need a home who is experienced with Mals and willing to keep close watch on me around food and any other dogs. I would do best in a home with a large mellow male dog or I can easily be the only one you pay attention to!

I love to cuddle, and I'm not destructive while a working person works. I do get very talkative when it is time for bed, or to go to work, but I will settle down after about 5 minutes. My singing voice is lovely, and I am very capable of carrying on a conversation, and lets a person know if I am dissatisfied. (Check out my video). I am very content either in my crate, or on my bed.

One of my favorite fun things to do is play with soft squeaky toys - those are cool! I walk well on a leash, especially with a no-pull harness. I do seem to attract a lot of attention from other dogs when I'm out strutting my stuff, but I don't act inappropriately, and know how to “leave it” when another dog, cat, squirrels, or whatever crosses my path. I am very responsive to that command. I like to play and run like a puppy, and I still like to chase my tail. I've been told I am very fast, strong, and beautiful to watch when I run around the yard. I don't challenged fences, either. Are you looking for a big Mally girl friend? Look no further!
