Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Theo is an active, happy, friendly and bouncy, eight-month-old, 14-pound, male purebred rough coat Jack Russell Terrier Puppy looking for a loving guardian.
This boy is utterly adorable. People stop us on our walks to admire and play with him. He is all love and kisses, has a larger-than-life personality and energy to spare.
Sadly, Theo lost his home when his mom was admitted to a psychiatric hospital. Theo had been found wandering stray multiple times during his puppyhood, but this last time his guardian signed relinquishment papers realizing she couldn’t properly care for him. The neighborhood rejoiced because they feared something bad would happen to him on his joy runs.
Theo is a super smart puppy who already knows the command sit and takes treats gently from your fingers. He is very food-motivated and loves to learn new tricks, play fetch or chew on his bones and toys! He also loves long walks and greats everyone he meets with a tail wag and body wiggle.
Theo has been doing fantastic with his housebreaking and crate-training. Due to his terrier nature, I don’t think I’d recommend him for homes with small children or little pets like cats, rabbits, etc. But he loves other dogs but not all dogs appear to understand his energetic and sometimes noisy greeting!
Theo is healthy, neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, on monthly heartworm preventative and treated with de-wormer and flea preventative.
He is looking for someone with the time for Theo’s daily training, exercise and love. To see if Theo is the right dog for you, visit this web site … http://www.therealjackrussell.com/breed/jrprofiler.php There is a quiz you can take to see if a JRT should be in your future. He’s definitely looking for someone with an active lifestyle, preferably with a securely fenced-in yard who really wants to work with their dog.
To meet and possibly adopt Theo, please contact me directly at sheri@petraits.com or 773-777-2891. His adoption fee of $250 benefits rescued pets. He's currently living with me in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood.
