Boy is a German shepherd mix and approximately 2 years old. He is very loving and needs a home where he can be the center of attention. He loves to play fetch even though he may not bring the toy back every time. Boy jumps up and gives big hugs. He needs exercise and a nice sized yard with an extremely sturdy fence as he will test it's strength. He loves going to explore and would benefit from additional leash training. He is being treated for heartworms and was malnourished and in pretty bad shape before being rescued. He is taking a monthly preventative as well as a flea and tick guard. He loves to eat and is willing to share his bowl. He is a gentleman and always lets female dogs eat first. Boy is not a fan of cats or other small animals. He would do best with a female dog around his size which is about 55 pounds. Boy is very affectionate and needs the same, if not more affection in his forever home. His forever family must to be willing to spend time with him and let him cuddle on the sofa. He has been a great companion to a 2 year old little girl for several months. Boy has never had an accident inside and has an extremely large bladder that he will hold until he is let out. He loves to please and be rewarded. He loves to be around his family and not in a crate or behind a baby gate. He loves to sleep on fluffy blankets. He currently knows the commands to sit, get down and come here. He loves tennis balls and treats. He is doing well on Victor pro-Plus Dog & Puppy food. He has been fully vaccinated, wormed, neutered and micro chipped. He deserves a loving and caring family.
