Sampson's Story...
Are you looking for your next best friend? If so, then look no further because here I am!!! My name is Sampson, and I’m a four month old, twenty pound, Collie mix who was rescued from a shelter in Kentucky. My so-called owner didn’t want me anymore so I was ditched at a nearby shelter. For the life of her, my foster mom can’t figure out why because I’m one of the best dogs she’s ever had. I have a soft silky coat, expressive brown eyes, and listen like a champ, or at least I act like it anyway. I get along with all the dogs and cats in my foster home but the cats don’t like me because I steal their sleeping spots on the cat tower for myself. It’s really comfortable up there! Although, I wouldn’t mind having another dog to play with, I’d be perfectly happy getting all the attention myself. I so love cuddling with my humans and will take any opportunity to be loved on and scratched behind the ears. Although, I’m crate trained, I’m not a big fan of it at all and make lots of disgruntled noises when I’m put in one. As a result, I’ve become a bit spoiled because my human foster brother lets me sleep with him at night. I think it’s safe to say I’ve got him wrapped around my paw!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sampson, a Cincinnati Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Collie puppy from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
